I have been both freelance and a "behind the chair" hair and makeup artist for two decades. I began my journey as a stylist here in the U.S. and was fortunate enough to start out in a small studio that encouraged the artistry of the craft as top priority, pushing the boundaries of creativity and cultivating a spirit of divergent thinking. I moved to Italy and lived and worked there until 2005. It was there where I worked as a freelance artist, mostly partnering with photographers in the aid of helping young models build their portfolios, and creating editorial material for the portfolios of the photographers, which solidified my desire to redefine what are considered traditional norms in beauty.
I have studied with many Master Stylists in a wide range of methodology and technique, from Toni & Guy, Aveda, Vidal Sassoon, Trevor Sorbie and most recently in the Spring of 2022 with Jayne Matthews of Edo Salon.
Hair and makeup are two of my favorite expressions of art as I see it more like 3D painting and sculpture, with the added benefit of giving the person in my chair an experience of well being, community, and joy.
As an Herbalist, I strive to give a truly holistic experience to my clients, as I firmly believe that true 'beauty" is a feeling, and a state of being. I have been a practicing Herbalist since 2005, and continue to study with various programs here and abroad. I practice the Vitalist approach and am an ongoing student at The School of Evolutionary Herbalism as well as a few other ongoing programs, and am the founder of Botanic Providence, a plant based self care brand that also incorporates supportive herbal therapies. I also have a Diploma in Organic Cosmetic Formulation through Formula Botanica.
I founded Flipp with the intentions of creating a safe space for the entire community and one for the artists to have artistic freedom in their creativity free of toxicity both chemically and philosophically.

Mark has been a professional hair artist for three decades, with extensive master class training. His work is rooted in classic cutting techniques, often incorporating retro methods. Beyond the salon, Mark is a true horror aficionado, collecting rare memorabilia. He's also a self-proclaimed Sci-Fi/Cult Movie and Comic Con Nerd, adding a unique flair to his work.

Color Specialist, Lover of Curls and Texture
Since 2015, Charlotte has been dedicated to mastering her craft as a hair designer and color specialist. She truly prioritizes understanding each client's unique hair, listening intently to their goals and concerns, and considering their personality and lifestyle to create a style that genuinely reflects them. Her background in chemistry strengthens her expertise in color formulation and effective styling methods.
Charlotte has a particular love for working with curly hair clients, especially guiding them on their introductory curly hair journeys. She also specializes in lived-in blondes, balayage, vivid colors, razor cuts, and shears-over-comb techniques.
Charlotte is passionate about using low-toxicity, plant-based, and plastic-free products, helping clients achieve their hair goals while minimizing environmental impact.

Master of Color & Alternative Looks and Styles
Brandon's career began in 2000 as an esthetician and makeup artist, quickly moving into a world of creativity and flair. His expertise extends beyond the salon, having worked backstage at NY Fashion Week and on Broadway, and as the exclusive stylist for Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins for a decade.
Brandon's artistry truly shines with his love for working with colors and alternative hairstyles, including vivid colors and vintage styles. He's also skilled in cutting, barbering, and nuanced highlighting techniques. Outside Flipp, Brandon is a multifaceted individual passionate about creativity. You can find him on TikTok as @doctordrag, in and out of drag. His diverse interests also include yoga, singing, dancing, and acting. Time in Brandon's chair is a transformative journey where style and personality brilliantly come together.

Specialist in Curls, Texture, Form and Diverse Styles
Forrest, an enthusiastic creative, began his career in the beauty industry in 2011. He believes a hairstylist's responsibility is to help individuals express their internal self in a physical reality through their look, stating, "Your true expression of self is my mission."
Forrest is passionate about working with clients with curls and lots of texture, excelling in curly hair cuts using both wet and dry techniques. His expertise is wide-ranging, encompassing long and short cuts, clipper cuts, fades, and razor cuts, and styling all hair types from straight to very curly.
He enjoys working with a diverse clientele, creating both non-conforming styles and classic looks. His love for hair styling spans from period bouffants and beehives to modern-day styles, and from simple root touch-ups to creative fashion shades.

International Master Colorist, Vivids Specialist & Blonding Expert
Ksenyia is a seasoned hairstyling professional with nearly two decades of experience, graduating in 2003. She's a prominent figure in the international scene, having secured second place in international hairstyle competitions in Moscow and being invited as a specialist colorist at international exhibitions. Her work has also been featured in professional hairdressing publications and on television projects. She's also a dedicated teacher at her own school in Kazakhstan, specializing in the art of the "careful blonde."
